Spring cleaning

Been pretty much offline the last few days, having devoted myself to spring cleaning. Pam got a new computer, always a wonderful and frustrating new addition to the family. Setting everything up right is a trial and error process that takes awhile and requires more patience than I usually can muster. But it's working great now, except I can't figure out how to load all of Pam's games with this wacky and shadowy xp arguing with them all.

So now the old computer has been redesignated as mine and moved upstairs. To set it up I had to reclaim my office from cats and storage, necessitating a complete redesign, starting with catching up on my filing. Boxed up a lot of the files and flung around a lot of furniture. Cleared out years of ancient computer equipment and am waiting for the recycler to haul it all away. After two full days of this I now have a very pleasant and functional office. Mostly - the upstairs computer still lacks internet connectivity and the downstairs one needs a printer, but soon enough.

Gotta run, the electrician needs to experiment with fuses.
